Use the redundancy global conﬁguration command to enter redundancy conﬁguration mode.

Syntax Description

This command has no keywords or arguments.

Usage Guidelines

This command ﬁrst appeared in Cisco IOS Release 11.2 GS.

It is not necessary to have two GRP cards installed in the router before you use this command.

After you enter redundancy conﬁguration mode, you can enter the main-cpu command. The

main-cpu command places you in the main-CPU redundancy conﬁguration mode, which allows you

to specify CPU redundancy characteristics.

Example

The following example enters redundancy conﬁguration mode:

router(config)# redundancy
