networking and storage resources. The management capabilities can be accessed via CLI, GUI or SNMP managers, or in-band via

InfiniBand (IPoIB.).

The Cisco SFS 7000D provides 24 dual-speed InfiniBand 4X ports that can operate in either 20-Gbps double data rate (DDR)) or

10-Gbps single data rate (SDR) mode for server. The Cisco SFS 7000D is capable of nonblocking 480-Gbps cross-sectional

bandwidth with less than 200 nanoseconds of port-to-port latency. SFS 7000D supports DDR-to-SDR switching capability for

investment protection and higher server densities. It also support Command-line interface (CLI), Web, and Java-based systems

management options. SFS 7000D has powered ports to enable flexible copper and optical interface configurations, and it offers the

reliability, security, and control required for high-performance and utility computing.

Open source software (OpenSM) may also be used to provide fabric management; however, customer has to work with

OpenFabrics community for the support of OpenSM. HP does not provide support for OpenSM.

switch via the mid-plane.

Options to choose Voltaire internally managed switches, or Cisco SFS 7000D 24-port switch for the subnet manager

functionality in cluster solutions.
